Ke$ha falls in love with "the spirit that exudes from" people, no matter if they are a man or woman.

The flamboyant singer doesn't like to be tied down when it comes to her sexuality. The 25-year-old happily admits she has fallen for both genders in the past and refuses to label herself.

"I don't love just men. I love people," she told the February issue of Seventeen magazine. "It's not about a gender. It's just about the spirit that exudes from that other person you're with."

Ke$ha is vocal about many of the causes she supports and campaigns to raise awareness of teenage bullying. It's an issue which is close to the star's heart as she has family members who have been teased.

"I'm all about standing up to gay/lesbian/transgender bullying, but it's also about my little brother. He's 13 and he gets made fun of because he has a stutter. I just have zero tolerance for people making fun of others," she fumed.

Ke$ha has had her fair share of nasty comments from others too, but has learnt not to let them get to her. She can vividly recall being teased when she was at school and takes great pleasure in knowing she's proved people wrong.

"I remember every person who told me I couldn't do something or that I was ugly or too fat. I have a 'sh*t list' - people from my past who have been soulless and judgmental. Even after I got through my awkward phase, got my braces off, and figured out how to dress my body, people in the music business were like, 'You're never going to make it,'" she said.

"I see them now and I'm like, 'Ha!' That's one of the reasons I named my [latest] record Warrior. You can be a victim and let that eat your soul, or you can say, 'You're going on my list and I'm going to prove you wrong.'"
