Britney Spears’ milieu reportedly fears that the star remains “mentally unstable”.
Following her 2008 meltdown, the 31-year-old pop singer is under court ordered conservatorship overseen by her father Jamie and others – including her fiancé Jason Trawick.
While out shopping with Jason recently at a convenience store in Los Angeles, Britney apparently threw a tantrum.
Eyewitnesses were shocked by the strop, which involved multiple bottles of body lotion that Britney insisted on buying.
“[Jason] told her that it was a waste because she’d never use the stuff, reminding her that she had plenty of nicer products at home,” a source told Star magazine.
“But Britney didn’t want to hear it. She began stomping her feet and yelling at him in this strange little-girl voice—and wouldn’t stop until Jason let her have her way. Everyone around was in shock. It was bizarre. Britney definitely seemed mentally unstable.”
Britney is mother to sons Preston, seven, and Jayden, six, with her ex Kevin Federline.
It is claimed that she wants to expand her family with Jason, but the talent agent has trepidation about that.
“They’ve been having some issues,” the source revealed.
“Britney wants a baby. But Jason’s worried that she can’t handle it.”
Jason and Britney’s other conservators aren’t likely to relinquish the guardianship anytime soon.
“They aren’t ready to tell the judge that Britney is ready to go it alone just yet,” the source said.
