Lady Gaga will tone down her over-the-top styling for the Rolling Stones’ 50th anniversary concert, according to drummer Charlie Watts.

The Paparazzi hitmaker is preparing to join Charlie and his bandmates Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Mick Jagger on stage in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday.

The band is currently celebrating 50 years in the music industry with the release of compilation album GRRR! and its 50 and Counting tour.

But Charlie warns Gaga fans may not get the kind of outrageous performance she’s known to deliver when she makes her cameo this weekend.

"I think Mick (Jagger) said she wanted to do it without any of that (glitz and glam), which would be fun actually," he told the Associated Press.

Charlie said the band wouldn’t mind if Gaga surprised them with a bizarre stage costume. He argued frontman Mick has been known to do the same.

"I'll tell you, some of (Mick's) outfits are Lady Gaga," the drummer laughed.

Guitarist Ronnie Wood also heaped praise on the pop singer. He called on her critics to look past her stage antics and take her talent for what it is.

"I think underneath she's very talented," he said, adding, "I happen to like the way she sings, and it'll be interesting to see the way she handles it."

The Newark concert will also feature performances from Bruce Springsteen and the Black Keys.
