Hospital prank DJs give first video interview

In the first video released by the Nine Network featuring 2DAY FM pranksters Mel Greig and Michael Christian for A Current Affair, the disgraced radio duo talk about the shock of hearing of the death of Jacintha Saldanha from the King Henry VII hospital in London.

The British nurse committed suicide after the 2DAY FM jocks pranked her into thinking they were the Queen and Prince Charles and getting her to put their call through to the room of the Duchess of Cambridge.

Greig and Christian broke their silence to speak with both Today Tonight and A Current Affair.

In the A Current Affair interview they talk to Tracy Grimshaw about the moment they heard about Jacintha’s death.

“It was the worst phone-call I have ever had of my life,” Mel said in tears. “I’ve thought about this a million times in my head. I just wanted to reach out and give them a big hug and say sorry. I hope they are okay I really do”.
