The Decemberists to visit The Simpsons

The Decemberists will take a trip to Springfield this week and appear on The Simpsons.

For the episode ‘The Day the Earth Stood Cool’ The Decemberists will visit Springfield Elementary School to become the new music teachers in Bart Simpson’s class.

Colin Meloy from The Decemberists penned his own line for the show. “Who wants to learn about press gangs and infanticide,” he asks the students.

The show will air in the USA tonight (December 9, 2012).

Tom Waits and Justin Bieber will also appear in this season of The Simpsons.
