Jennifer Nettles gives birth

Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles welcomed son Magnus Hamilton Thursday December 6.

The 38-year-old Grammy-winning country crooner and her entrepreneur husband Justin Hamilton are delighted with their first child together.

Mother and baby are happy and well.

The couple can’t thank their loved ones enough for their encouragement throughout Jennifer’s pregnancy.

“We are so thankful for all the prayers and support and are excited to take some time together as a new family,” Jennifer and Justin released in a statement to People magazine.

Jennifer is apparently relieved that her son has been delivered.

The star spoke previously about the difficulties she faced in her last trimester.

“I just feel good to rest,” she told the publication.

“[But] things are starting to get a little uncomfortable, if you will!”

Jennifer and Justin celebrated their first year as man and wife on November 28.

The pair wed in Tennessee in an intimate ceremony at sunset.
