Jamie Foxx refuses to publicly acknowledge who he is dating.
The Django Unchained star has been linked to Stacey Dash and Garcelle Beauvais in the past although he is currently single.
But he plans to keep the next person he seriously dates away from the cameras as much as possible for fear of ruining the relationship.
"I like to stay quiet with anyone that dating; that I'm really, really dating, " he told US television programme Extra.
"If there's somebody that you're dating, the worst thing that you can do is let that (camera) touch you. Because once the camera touches you, (it's out),” he explained.
While he is serious about keeping prying eyes out of his private life, the star takes a more light-hearted approach with his career.
The actor refuses to keep the Best Actor Oscar he won for his performance as Ray Charles at his own home, as Extra reports.
Instead, his friend and manager Jamie King is keeping it for him.
"I never wanted to keep it at the house - I never wanted to get stuck,” Jamie explained, adding that having the award can “change you”.
“I just wanted to go back to being funny,” he said.
