Photographer Ken Regan, who earned the trust and respect of people like Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones, has lost his battle with cancer.

Regan captured The Beatles on their first US tour. During his career he photographed artists at The Concert for Bangla Desh, The Last Waltz and Live Aid.

Ken Regan was hired by the Stones and Dylan to photograph their tours. Dylan took him around with the Rolling Thunder Review.

As a teenager he took photos of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and the Allman Brothers at the Fillmore East.

In a statement today Keith Richards said, “Another goodbye to another good friend. He will be missed”.

Over the years Regan was there the first time Bob Dylan met Bruce Springsteen, he shot Andy Warhol just hanging out relaxing and Neil Young many times.

During his time as a photographer Regan refused to sell photos to tabloids and never published an unflattering photo of any artist.

Ken was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
