Miranda Lambert is spending Thanksgiving getting "back to basics" with her husband Blake Shelton.

The country music love birds took to Twitter to express their mutual appreciation for each other over the annual American holiday.

Miranda posted a photograph of her embracing the great outdoors by hunting for her own Thanksgiving feast.

Taken during an expedition in the Oklahoma woods, Miranda tagged herself in a snap that shows her in a camouflage outfit, and holding a bow and binoculars.

"Baby it's time we got back to the basics of love... first time in the woods this season. & with BS," Miranda tweeted to her husband Blake.

Earlier in the week, Blake praised his wife's survival instincts. The star explained how his wife has a hidden talent for finding food.

"I'll tell you, we went huntin' a few nights ago and she actually caught a wild hog with a bow and arrow," Blake told People."Miranda is the real deal. She doesn't just sing about guns and things like that. She does it. She's a big bow hunter. People don't know that about her. It's so impressive to see this hot girl walking out of the house with this bow and arrow and shooting things with it, I love it. I hope that's what we do again on Thanksgiving."
