The Killers abruptly ended a Tuesday night concert in Manchester after frontman Brandon Flowers lost his voice.

The American rockers performed five songs before pulling the rest of the set.

BBC News reports Brandon told the crowd at Manchester Arena he was unable to continue.

A concertgoer who identified himself as Dave told BBC Radio 5 live about the abrupt end to the concert.

"Half way through a song, he just went: 'Never done this before. Off I toddle.' Then the house lights came up 20 minutes later and that was it,” he said.

The band later issued an apology to fans on Facebook.

"Manchester, we started something we couldn't finish and we're so, so sorry. Working on rescheduling tonight and tomorrow's shows. Will let you know new dates ASAP,” the post read.

The Mr. Brightside hitmakers were scheduled to perform again in Manchester on Wednesday. They are also scheduled to perform at London’s O2 Arena on Friday and Saturday.

It was unclear at press time if the band planned on rescheduling the later shows.

Manchester Arena also issued a statement on its website confirming new dates were expected to be released within 48 hours. The performances will be rescheduled for early next year.
