One Direction’s Harry Styles doesn’t take fame “too seriously”.

The curly-haired heartthrob revealed that it still feels strange to experience fan hysteria.

The teenager and his bandmates found fame on the UK version of TV talent search The X Factor in 2010 and admitted it would be easy to get caught up in the craziness of their new popstar lifestyle.

“You’re never going to get used to walking into a room and have people screaming at you. There’s a lot of things that come with the life you could get lost in,” he told the British edition of Vogue. "But you have to let it be what it is. I’ve learnt not to take everything too seriously.”

Harry also revealed that the hugely successful group have worked towards a more authentic and grown up sound.

One Direction’s new album Take Me Home is released later this month and the boys hope that fans will see they are maturing.

“We want to gradually get more and more ‘live’ sounding. So this album is a lot less little synth sounds, more guitars and drums. It’s important to experiment with things – we want to move with the times, but keep true to ourselves,” Harry explained.

“We did a lot of writing in the studio. And I play the guitar, so I play on a lot of the tracks on the album,” bandmate Niall Horan added.

Meanwhile, One Direction hunk Liam Payne is reportedly planning a romantic Christmas getaway with rumoured flame Leona Lewis.

The stars apparently haven’t been able to spend much time together because of their hectic work schedules and they are believed to be arranging a mini-break in Los Angeles, California, over the holiday period.

“Leona and Liam only starting seeing each other recently. But because of work, they won’t be together for a while now. They thought this was a nice thing to look forward to,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.
