Due to overwhelming demand, Bobby Womack has announced that he’ll be playing a second night at The Forum in London. The singer, joined by special guests Damon Albarn and Richard Russell, will be playing both November 25th and 27th.

Last week, Bobby Womack was awarded the prestigious ‘Album of the Year‘ at the Q awards for “The Bravest Man In The Universe”. The album, his first in two decades, saw Damon Albarn and Richard Russell on production duties, and was released to widespread acclaim in June on XL Recordings.

Mojo said “his best album since 1981’s The Poet”, Q said “back… in the most spectacular style”, while The Sunday Times described the album as “a triumphant return”.

Following a period of ill health that prevented him doing any promotion for the album, this was the second trip to the UK this month for the now sprightly Womack. His earlier visit being part of a run of TV performances that included Jimmy Fallon in the US, Later with Jools in the UK, and Le Grand Journal in France. Bobby's performance of his 'Dayglo Reflection' duet with Lana Del Rey on the latter, saw the 'Bravest Man…' album immediately propelled to No.2 on Itunes France.
