The Who are treating their fans in the U.K. to some great holiday gifts with the release of three archive sets.

Live at Hull captures the February 15, 1970 performance by the group in Hull, the night after the Live at Leeds shows. The set was originally part of the multi-disc Live at Leeds set but will now be released as a 2-CD set and will, for the first time, contain John Entwistle's bass part which had originally been lost. The set is housed in a six-panel digipak.

Already out is the 14 LP set The Studio Albums which contains all eleven of the group's studio recorded sets from 1965's My Generation through 2006's Endless Wire. All of the albums have been remastered by Jon Astley in 24-96 format on virgin heavyweight vinyl. The albums in the set include Tommy in its original six-panel foldout and 12-page colour booklet, Face Dances with its 24” by 24” poster insert and The Who Sell Out, with the same 20” by 30” poster as on the original 1967 pressings. Quadrophenia has it’s lavish Pete Townshend and Ethan Russell photo book restored which at the time cost £10,000 and was shot over two weeks in London, Brighton and Cornwall.

The last release is the mono version of the group's debut album, My Generation. "Something of a holy grail for Who aficionados this original Mono version is as close as possible to how the band envisaged it sounding in the studio and contains overdubs which were lost in previous Stereo masterings."
