Psy says Mel B outdid Britney Spears when performing the Gangnam Style dance.
The South Korean singer shot to number one on charts worldwide with the catchy song, which features its own dance routine.
Several celebrities have tried to imitate Psy’s moves, such as The X Factor US judge Britney and former Spice Girl Mel B, who recently performed the dance with Psy on the Australian version of The X Factor.
“I was with Britney on The Ellen [DeGeneres] Show and at that time I told them the mind-set of the Gangnam Style is to dress classy and dance cheesy,” he explained to Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O.
“Did you see Mel B’s face? She was like, ‘Look at me, I’m on it!’ Britney was good but Mel B, her moves were more dynamic.”
Psy is signed to the Schoolboy Records label, run by Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun.
The star will always be grateful to Braun and hopes the opportunity will also bring the chance to collaborate with Justin himself.
“Scooter Braun came to me and he said, ‘I want to release your song just as it is, in Korean’. And that was such a touching moment, because even if it’s successful or not that’s history, you know, lyrics in Korean,” he explained.
“I am going to release my own new single but somewhere in the near future I will work with Justin Bieber. There will be a lot more English in my new single.”
