Industry prognosticators are calling for both KISS and Barbra Streisand to have top ten debuts on the U.S. Album charts when they are announced on Thursday. Unlike many weeks, though, just what they will sell and where they will come in differs depending on sources.

Hits Daily Double has KISS' Monster selling between 65,000 and 75,000 copies and looking towards a number three debut. The Nielsen SoundScan Building Chart is predicting 60,000 copies and a start at number 4. Either figure is well below the group's last album, Sonic Boom, which opened at number 2 with 108,000 copies sold. That album was a Wal-Mart exclusive.

The predictions for Streisand are even further apart. Hits Daily Double shows Cover Me selling 40,000 to 45,000 copies and possibly coming in at 5. Nielsen SoundScan says 40,000 and an opening at number 10. The large discrepancy in position is due to a group of seven albums whose sales are predicted to be in the 30,000 to 45,000 range.
