R&B singer Lemar will be performing at Shaka Zulu on Friday 5th October ahead of his album launch on Monday 8th October. The English star will be performing a variety of tracks from his past and upcoming albums.

Born in Tottenham, North London, Lemar grew up listening to pop and soul music, often performing at home with his siblings pretending to be The Jacksons. When he was 17 Lemar had his first concert at the Junior Jam in Tottenham supporting Usher. He later went on to support Usher and Destiny’s Child on their UK club tours.

Lemar’s big break however, undoubtedly came when he appeared on British TV talent show, Fame Academy in 2002. After finishing third, he was signed by Sony Music for a five year record deal. Since then, Lemar has had seven top ten UK singles and sold over two million albums. His most popular songs include Dance (With U), 50/50 and If There’s Any Justice. He has also won two Brit Awards and three Mobo Awards as well as supporting such acts as Justine Timberlake, Mary J Blige and Enrique Iglesias on tour.

Lemar will release his new album later this year, with his forthcoming single "Invincible" which he will perform at Shaka Zulu on Friday 5th October ahead of the launch.
