Jenny McCarthy compares her childhood devotion to Jesus to teens’ religious adoration of Justin Bieber.
The 39-year-old former Playboy Playmate went to church at least twice a week as a child and even wanted to be a nun, she disclosed in new book Bad Habits: Confessions of a Recovering Catholic.
Jenny revealed that unlike most kids her age who are obsessed with rock stars, her teen idol was the son of God.
“I had a Jesus poster, the Pope was over there, I had some ‘I love Jesus’ t-shirts and bags hanging up. Jesus was my Justin Bieber,” she said to a camera crew that she brought to the Chicago, Illinois home where she grew up during a recent interview on US programme Nightline.
Meanwhile, Baby crooner Justin will join pop music’s bad girl Rihanna for a star-studded performance at the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, it was announced today.
Rihanna is expected to perform two songs from her upcoming seventh album, including her newly-released single Diamonds.
The Victoria’s Secret extravaganza, which will feature the lingerie brand’s Angels Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima, is scheduled to air on December 4 2012 on US television network CBS.
