Keith Urban is thoroughly enjoying his experience on American Idol so far.
The Australian country crooner is a judge alongside Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Randy Jackson on the TV talent show.
Keith has nothing but praise for his new post.
“We are two days in, and I’m loving it!” he gushed to Extra.
Keith is a veteran with televised singing competitions.
As a youth he was an unsuccessful contestant on a similar programme and he has just wrapped up his gig as host on another show.
“I did a season of The Voice in Australia and also did several singing competitions for TV when I was very young,” Keith explained.
“I’ve been on both sides, so I hope I can deliver with a bit of empathy.”
Apparently Keith feels quite snug in his judging chair.
While chatting to E!’s Ryan Seacrest, who presents the singing contest, Keith revealed just how much he appreciates the camaraderie on set.
“I'm very glad you're there. I'm glad Randy's there. It's a good comfort level!" he laughed.
