13/8 Emeli Sandé and 1/2 Plan B are favorites to be crowned King and Queen of the this year’s MOBO award after both artists picked up five category nods at the glitzy nomination ceremony.

Sandé will face stiff competition from the likes of Rita Ora (15/8), X-Factor judge Tulisa (11/4) and Jessie J (11/2) in the race for ‘Best Female’ while Plan B is up against Professor Green (7/2), Andy Murray favourite Ed Sheeran (5/1) and Labrinth (7/1) who all vie for ‘Best Male’.

Sandé (13/8) and Plan B will go head-to-head in the ‘Best Album’ category with the London rapper the current favourite (6/5) to take home the gong. The other nominations include Rita Ora (11/4) and Labrinth the outside bet at 9/1.

Meanwhile Nicki Minaj (11/4) is the front-runner to land ‘Best International Act’ ahead of Rihanna (3/1) Jay Z & Kanye West (7/1), Beyonce (12/1) and Rich Ross the outsider at 16/1.

A Paddy Power spokesperson said: “As always with the MOBO’s it’s going to be a close run thing. Plan B and Emeli Sandé are leading the way with five nominations each, but Jessie J and Tulisa Contostavlos are rocking it for the ladies and will go head to head to battle it out in the 'Best UK Female' category which should make for an interesting run-in. I think it’s safe to say we can expect plenty of bling, the odd tantrum and the odd drop of Cristal.”
