Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Chris Martin “like to do the same things.”

The actress and the Coldplay frontman have been married since 2003 and share two children together – daughter Apple, eight, and son Moses, six.

Gwyneth and Chris manage to keep their marriage fresh through humour and their mutual interests.

"We laugh a lot, and at the same jokes," Gwyneth told InStyle magazine.

"We like the same music and we like to do the same things."

Gwyneth admits that the pair experience strife occasionally.

The couple are simply too creative to get along all the time.

"Our artistic temperaments together [is the hardest part]," Gwyneth explained. "Artists are sensitive. There are ups and downs, mood-wise. Musicians need a certain gravitas and focus in order to write. The temperament that goes with someone who is creative can be challenging."

Gwyneth will turn 40 next week.

The star has mixed feelings on whether to have more children.

"My brain says, 'Oh, I think I'm done, the kids are so big now, and I don't want to go back to changing diapers,' " Gwyneth said.

"But a part of me would love to have another. Of course, I'm old now!"
