Ellie Goulding has today announced she will play a tour of the UK in December.
The tour, which takes in nine cities including a London show at Brixton O2 Academy, marks a welcome return to UK venues for Ellie who has spent the last eighteen months touring in the US and recording her new album Halcyon, which is released on October 8th on Polydor Records.
Every live show Ellie and her band have played in the UK has been sold out and her huge success in the UK is now matched Stateside, where her single Lights has sold 2.5 million copies, reached no.2 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and is enjoying its third week at no.1 on the Top 40 Airplay Chart.
The tour dates in December are:

Sat 8th Liverpool O2 Academy
Tue 11th Nottingham Rock City
Wed 12th London Brixton O2 Academy
Thu 13th Glasgow O2 Academy
Sat 15th Leeds O2 Academy
Sun 16th Birmingham O2 Academy
Mon 17th Manchester Academy
Tue 18th Southampton Guildhall
Tickets are priced at £22.50 for the regional shows and £25 for London and go on general sale from Friday 21st September at 9am.
