Sonic Youth to release 1985 live album

It’s been a long time coming but Sonic Youth will finally put out their vintage live album Smart Bar: Chicago 1985 on November 14 via Goofin’ Records.

The set was recorded on cassette at Chicago’s Smart Bar on August 11, 1985 during the group’s tour in support of their second album, Bad Moon Rising. The album includes most of that album plus a few rarities. A booklet is included with photographs by Pat Blashill and Steven Koress and liner notes by Gerard Cosloy and Aaron Mullan.
