Avril Lavigne finishes new album with Chad Kroeger

Avril Lavigne has completed her fifth album, which features fiancé and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger.
Billboard reports that Avril’s follow up to last year’s Goodbye Lullaby is complete and, naturally, features a song with her new fiancé Chad Kroeger of the much-maligned, multi-platinum rockers Nickelback as their romance blossomed in the studio.
Her label Epic’s chairman LA Reid revealed the news that the album was done. He said, “We’re in the mixing process now and I expect to release it very soon.”
‘Very soon’ is likely to be at the start of 2013. He noted, “I’d like to get it out this year, but time seems to be flying. If we don’t, it will be top of the new year.” Billboard Brazil have reported that there will be a single on its way next month.
The forthcoming album will be her fifth. Goodbye Lullaby was by far Lavigne’s most disappointing album, sales-wise, only going gold in many territories when all her previous albums had gone multi-platinum, which might explain the quick turnaround.
