Having spent the summer packing out tents at a string of summer festivals, including Blissfields, Secret Garden Party, Kendall Calling, Bestival and more - the incomparable BEANS ON TOAST gets ready for his largest London headline show to date at the beautiful Scala venue in Kings Cross.

The gravel voiced singer songwriter will play this incredible show on 27th September 2012 and it promises to be an evening of pure celebration with friends and special guests joining this musical raconteur on stage. Performing his wise drunken ramblings, drug ballads, honest love songs and no holds barred social commentary; Beans will perform tracks from his 3 critically acclaimed albums, as well as new material that deals with Droughts, Wars, Pagans, Protests and Wetherspoons pubs.

Inspired by one of his favourite albums - the fantastic John Prine Live – the Scala show will be recorded for a live CD including all the between-song banter and conversation that makes a Beans On Toast gig so intimate and special. With an impressive gig list that ranges from Wembley Arena to Kidderminster, Glastonbury to Glade, house parties to social clubs and local pubs to banging raves - he has perfected the art of his craft. The live CD album is due for a release in early 2013.

Support on the night comes from Gorgeous George - an original and completely unique blend of Eastern European folk music with a distinctly youthful South London wisp and Sean McGowen a young, raw folk punk talent from Southampton.

Expect to laugh, cry and take a long hard look at the world we live in.

A documentary of Beans’ Road To Wembley – filmed by Frank Turner – is included on the forthcoming Frank Turner: Live From Wembley DVD out 10th September 2012.
