Michael Jackson’s family are reportedly dealing “with a range of emotions”.

The King of Pop would have turned 54-years-old August 29.

Michael’s mother Katherine and his sister LaToya took his three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket to their hometown of Gary, Indiana to celebrate the big day.

According to sources there is not much merriment going on.

“Katherine and Michael's children, along with LaToya and their co-guardian, TJ, are all in Gary, Indiana for birthday festivities for Michael,” a source told Radar Online. “It's a very somber day filled with a range of emotions but they are trying to not let the sadness of Michael's death consume them. LaToya is just an absolute ray of light for Michael's children and she is trying to keep things upbeat.”

Katherine, who is also mother to Janet, Jermaine and Randy, is said to be furious with her brood as the fallout over tragic Michael’s estate continues.

“There is also added stress because of the ongoing family drama with Michael's siblings, Janet, Randy and Rebbie who want the executors of the estate to resign,” the source detailed.

“Janet and Katherine still aren't talking and it's just extremely sad that it has gotten to this.”
