Florence Welch will mix "modern technology with an old romance" with her stage set at Reading and Leeds Festivals.

Florence Welch will pay homage to art deco artists at Reading and Leeds festivals.

The flame-haired Florence + The Machine singer is planning an innovative stage set this weekend (24-26.08.12) which combine nostalgic art practices and modern technology.

Florence told NME magazine: "I think we definitely want to try and bring the visual aspects of this album. We're trying to mix really modern technology with an old romance.

"So I'm obsessed with textiles and stained glass and it's important to bring that aesthetic.

"We were looking at a lot of Erte and Klimt and art deco artists for this album so we're using technology in order to bring these old references."

Festival-lover Florence will also be taking in as many live sets as possible and is thrilled with the line-up for this years festival, and looking forward to seeing goth group The Cure in particular.

She said: "It's a strong line-up. They're all massive bands and it seems like a wide spread.

"I would really like to see The Cure play. I found loads of picture of me from when I was 11, me in my school uniform with a little pale moonface and dyed black hair."

Florence + The Machine will be playing alongside Kasabian, Justice and Foo Fighters at the festival which started earlier today (24.08.12).
