The 'Right Round' hitmaker says it's important for him to make his music relevant so is often coming up with new ideas and getting inspiration from a variety of places.
He said: "The first album I had up until now, it's all been relevant. We're always going against the grain and trying new things. I'm inspired by different places I travel to, which I bring to my music. I'm always trying to reinvent myself."
Flo Rida - real name Tramar Dillard - also says the reason he's been so successful is because he is willing to work hard as well as knowing the importance of staying grounded.
He told MTV Voices: "To get success you need to be as humble as possible and definitely have a good work ethic. When everyone else is sleeping, it's very important that you take the initiative to take the time to work and work hard. Also it's very important to stay in touch with your fans."
