Jason Derulo and Kelly Rowland are suddenly out of work today after Channel Ten axed its big budget reality show dance contest Everybody Dance Now.

Ten poured millions of dollars into the show including signing up pop stars Jason Derulo and Kelly Rowland and relocating them to Melbourne for the production of the show.

Everybody Dance Now sunk on the first night with an audience of 598,000 nationally. This week it dived further down to 350,000 viewers.

Ten CEO James Warburton said in a statement today, “As part of the renewal of Network Ten’s creative content, we are trying new formats and creating more programming options.

“Unfortunately, we didn’t get the Everybody Dance Now format right. Kelly, Jason and Sarah are fantastic presenters. Their professionalism and commitment to Everybody Dance Now was remarkable, and the many talented dancers on the show were amazing.

“Although we worked with FremantleMedia to reset the program, clearly it has not struck a chord with viewers.”

‘Everybody Dance Now’ will be replaced by repeats of Modern Family and Graham Norton Express.
