Paul McCartney joined Ronald Isley from the Isley Brothers for a performance of a song they both had a hit with, ‘Twist and Shout’.

The Isley Brothers had a hit with the song in 1962, one year before The Beatles recorded it for their debut album ‘Please Please Me’.

McCartney, and Isley were joined by Jon Bon Jovi, Usher, Jennifer Hudson at the home of billionaire Ronald Perelman to raise money for the legendary New York venue The Apollo in Harlem.

The performance happened last Saturday, August 11.

260 people paying $5000 a head attended and raised more than $2 million for The Apollo. McCartney was a surprise guest at the event.
