Alice Cooper has promised to “bring blood to Bloodstock” for his upcoming show.

The seasoned rocker is preparing to play the UK's largest metal festival Bloodstock. Alice - who is famed for his elaborate stage shows and creepy props - has revealed that the event's title is very appealing to him.

"Oh yes, I like that very much. My show actually does bring blood to Bloodstock, so the people in the front rows will be walking home with a little bit of Bloodstock on them," he teased in an interview with kerrang! magazine.

Alice has played many outdoor shows during his time as a performer. The 64-year-old star has joked that a tornado ripping through one stage show left his backdrop looking rather authentic.

"In Finland a couple of years ago we had a tornado come through and take out both stages," he recalled. "Slayer had amps that were put away and we managed to finish the show anyway, but the backdrop looked like the aftermath of a tornado, like you'd see on TV.

"Which kind of looks like our stage set anyway!"
