The late, great Dusty Springfield is about to come to New York in the form of Kristen Holly Smith who wrote, co-produced and is the lead in Forever Dusty.

This has been a long road for Smith who started researching the singer a number of years ago. In 2006, she received the Spectrum Arts Grant from the University of Southern California which allowed her to mount the production at The Renberg Theatre in Los Angeles. Since then, she has performed as Springfield numerous times as she further developed the show that will soon be moving to New York.

Also producing is Jorja Fox, Leslie Brockett, Jane Gullong, and Sandalphon Productions. Eva Price of Maximum Entertainment Productions is Executive Producer.

Here's a video shot of Smith performing You Don't Have to Say You Love Me.
