Jon Bon Jovi reportedly has no plans to join American Idol.

There are free seats on the judging panel of the hit talent contest following the departure of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.

Jennifer recently said she’d love to see either Jon or Sir Mick Jagger take her spot, but it seems unlikely Jon will pursue the job.

“With all systems go for a new album and a mega-tour on the horizon, Jon wouldn't be able to give those aspiring singers the guidance they deserve,” an insider told TMZ.

The 50-year-old rocker believes in giving every project his all. For that reason, he is unlikely to move into TV as his music career would need to take a back seat.

“Jon wouldn't commit to anything unless he can give 100 per cent. With planning for the next album already underway, he's focused on the band,” the insider added.

Earlier this week, Jennifer reminisced about her two seasons on the show. She predicts big changes ahead, with only Randy Jackson returning to the panel.

“We had magic,” she said. “I don’t know, with him [Steven] gone, it might be a different formula.”
