Ozzy Osbourne believes rock stars are “like schizophrenics”.

The 63-year-old music legend has been in the rock ‘n’ roll industry for over 40 years. He claims that entertainers will go “crazy” if they don’t separate normal life from their onstage persona.

"Performers are like schizophrenics," the Black Sabbath frontman told Kerrang! magazine. “When you’re onstage that’s what you do, but when you are offstage you’ve got to be different.”

Ozzy has struggled when it came to juggling his career and personal life.

“It got me in all kinds of f**king trouble,” he confessed.

The crazy antics that rock stars are known for is a subject Ozzy is familiar with.

He thinks that other people involved in the entertainment industry also behave in this way, but it is less documented.

“Rock ‘n’ roll is bad for that stuff,” he added. “But if you think that’s bad, you want to get involved in the acting world. They go f**king nuts!”

During his turbulent career history Ozzy developed addictions to drugs and alcohol. He has done things he is not proud of while taking mind altering substances. However, he believes there is a good reason why he is still alive and a respected figure in the music industry

“I’m an alcoholic drug addict,” Ozzy stated. “The one thing I refused to do was take that sh*t onstage with me.”
