Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Raymond is “heartbroken” over her son’s jet ski accident that has left him in critical condition.
The 44-year-old fashion stylist divorced from the singer three years ago and they have two children together; Usher V, four, and Naviyd, three. But Usher is said to still be close to his stepson.
Her 11-year-old son Kyle from an earlier relationship was hit in the head by a jet ski over the weekend and doctors have reportedly declared him brain dead.
“Tameka is heartbroken,” a source told RadarOnline. “Kyle was one of the loves of her life – she adored him. She used to call him her most helpful child and would gush about how smart he was.”
“This incident was just so random – there should never have been a jet ski that close to an inner tube with two young kids, it just doesn’t make sense.”
Kyle is currently hooked up to a life support machine in an Atlanta hospital and Tameka is using her “spirituality and devotion to God” to pull her through the friend added.
“This is a woman who lost the man of her dreams, her reputation and now her son within the course of four years,” the insider said. “My heart goes out to her. Nobody deserves this pain.”
