Tom Tom Club to release new EP in September

Tom Tom Club, the offshoot of the Talking Heads with Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz, will be releasing a new EP in September called Downtown Rockers.

The announcement came on the group's Facebook page on Monday with little additional information other than the digital version of the EP will be out on September 4 with bonus tracks and an "amazing" remix of the Downtown Rockers single by Arthur Baker. A vinyl version will hit stores on September 11.

This will be the first new studio recordings from the group since 2000's The Good, the Bad and the Funky.
