Jack White tops half year vinyl chart

Jack White ‘Blunderbuss’ is the biggest selling vinyl album of the year so far.

‘Blunderbuss’ has sold 18,000 units, according to Nielsen SoundScan, a slight 400 units ahead of Black Keys ‘El Camino’.

The biggest seller of 2010 and 2011 was The Beatles ‘Abbey Road’ and it is continuing to consistently sell with 15,700 units crossing the counter so far this year.

‘Abbey Road’ could outlast them all this year and if it continues at this pace while the others wane it could again take the top spot by the end of the year.
