Conor Maynard, the 19 year old singer songwriter and YouTube phenomenon from the UK, has been announced as July’s MTV PUSH artist.
MTV PUSH is MTV’s global promotional vehicle dedicated to bringing music fans around the world the latest talent.
MTV is widely recognised THE place young people turn to for new music, and through MTV PUSH, MTV’s international channels have fostered some of today’s best known and hottest acts.
MTV has created specially produced on-air and online content to promote Conor Maynard as this month’s MTV PUSH artist, which will be distributed across MTV’s 63 channels in 152 territories and international MTV online platforms throughout the month of July. This includes a unique MTV PUSH Live Session and exclusive interviews with Conor Maynard.
Hailing from the British seaside town of Brighton, Conor Maynard has already been making waves in the UK music scene – voted the winner of MTV UK’s “Brand New for 2012” campaign and securing a #2 hit in the UK singles chart with “Can’t Say No”.
He also recently performed “Can’t Say No” at the MTV TRL Awards in Firenze, Italy, on 5 May. He is now heading across the Atlantic to release his first single in the US, “Vegas Girl”, on the 24 July, taken from his forth coming album, Contrast - a genre-defying blend of innovative R&B, dramatic hip-hop soundscapes, and stadium-scaling pop anthems that manage to be both credibly cool and commercially appealing.
Previous MTV PUSH artists have included Justin Beiber, Ke$ha, Jason Derulo, B.o.B, LMFAO, Jessie J, Lana Del Ray and Rita Ora.
