The soundtrack to the new Disney movie ‘Brave’ will feature a brand new song from Birdy with Mumford & Sons.
The song ‘Learn Me Right’
“It’s quite fun doing a song for a movie rather than for an album,” said Marcus Mumford. “We liked the idea of having an orchestra in the background and having a girl like Birdy sing—it’s been quite liberating.” Added Birdy, “I love it because it tells a story. Although it has a lot of emotion, it’s also very upbeat and you want to dance to it, which is why it works so well.”
The movie is set in the Highlands of Scotland. Billy Connolly plays King Fergus, Emma Thompson is Queen Elinor and Julie Waters is the eccentric Witch.
‘Brave’ will open on June 22, 2012.
