Jennifer Lopez has hit back at reports she won't be returning to the American Idol judging panel, saying there is "no truth" to the rumours.

It has been speculated that the stunning superstar will not be back on the hit TV talent show alongside Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson. Reports suggested that Jennifer's hectic music and film career will stand in the way of her committing to the show's next season.

However, the 42-year-old star has taken to her Twitter page to refute the claims.

"There is no truth to reports that say I am definitely leaving Idol. All I said was I haven't decided what I am doing next year. #mediaremix (sic)," she wrote on the social networking site.

Jennifer also promised fans she will personally let them know about her final decision. The beauty is still making her mind up about her future on American Idol.

"When I know for sure what I'm doing I will let the #LOVE!RS know! #FYITweets (sic)," she added.

Earlier this week, sources told a US publication that Jennifer would not be returning.

“There is just too much going on for her right now. She regrets she can't stay on the show. It's been an incredible experience and she is forever grateful that she did it," an insider revealed.

Jennifer is currently promoting her new film What to Expect When You’re Expecting. She is also gearing up to begin a concert tour with Enrique Iglesias and Latin group Wisin Y Yandel in July performing at dates across North America.
