Taylor Momsen has joked that Marilyn Manson told her to “worship Satan”.
The teen star is currently supporting the iconic goth rocker on tour and explained that while she is a huge fan of his music, she didn’t ask him for any career advice.
The Pretty Reckless singer prefers to make her own mistakes rather than living by someone else’s rules.
“Yeah, he told me to worship Satan!” she joked when asked by Kerrang! if he had imparted any wisdom on her.
Taylor also revealed that she made some sacrifices to tour with Manson.
The former Gossip Girl actress cancelled a series of gigs with her own band to support the provocative goth artist.
“I’ve been a fan since I was very young so to get that call asking us to open was so exciting. We actually had our own dates planned but we cancelled a lot of them so we could do it. It’s motherf**king Marilyn Manson after all,” she said. “It’s great seeing him off stage because he’s always Marilyn Manson - what you see is what you get. I don’t think he’s playing a character.”
