Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band to play SXSW

Bruce Springsteen will be bringing the E Street Band to Austin to perform at SXSW ahead of the start of the world tour the following week.

Bruce had already been announced as the keynote speaker for the SXSW Music Conference this year.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform “a special show in an intimate venue” for SXSW attendees on March 15.

In an unusual move for SXSW ticket holders, tickets will be available by ballot for attendees and can only be applied for at the connection centres at the Austin Convention Center from March 12 to 15.

Successful applicants will be notified at 10am on March 15 via email.

Bruce Springsteen will release his 17th studio album ‘Wrecking Ball’ through Sony Music on March 9, 2012.
