Happy Mondays to headline Camp Bestival

Having just reformed the original line-up The Happy Mondays have confirmed they will headline Camp Bestival festival at Lulworth castle in Dorset.

They will close the event on Sunday night with Hot Chip on the Friday.

The lineup also includes Dodgy, Kool and the Gang, Mr Scruff and Hot Chip side-project The 2 Bears.

Organiser Rob da Bank is thrilled with his Madchester signing.

The Happy Mondays are one of those iconic British outfits that perfectly capture all that's best about our musical make up...indie, dance, rave, pop and Shaun Ryder?s lyrical wit. I grew up dancing like a rubbish Bez to the Mondays and fully intend to indulge in some creaky freaky dancing some the Sunday night of Camp B..Hope you'll join me."

Camp Bestival takes place July 26 - 29 2012.
