Mike Weatherley MP is proud to announce rock star and music producer Mark Hoppus as the latest in a distinguished line of Patrons for Rock the House, the Parliamentary live music competition which supports the UK live music industry and promotes the importance of Intellectual Property rights.
The competition sees MPs nominate the best live musicians and music venue from their constituencies. The competition this year invites live music venues, solo artists, bands and under-18s to write to their MPs and enter themselves into RTH 2012. The competition also counts Alice Cooper, Deep Purple’s Ian Gillan, Whitesnake’s Bernie Marsden, Bullet For My Valentine’s Matt Tuck, Anthrax’s Rob Caggiano, and Busted’s Charlie Simpson as Patrons.
Speaking on the competition, Mark Hoppus said:
"I'm very honoured to be part of the Rock the House campaign and look forward to doing anything I can to promote this very important cause. I encourage all unsigned musicians to visit the website and write to their MP to take part. I’m excited to hear the entries as they come in!”
