Shaun Ryder has finally confirmed on Xfm radio that the full original line-up have reformed.

Speaking to Smart on Sunday the front-man told Xfm the news fans had been longing for.

Shaun revealed to Gordon first that a tour is definitely happening in May.

It was a quick conversation that they were all into. "It was actually really easy. I think all of us are gonna be a bit nervous - the last time we were all together was 1993. Apart from us all pushing 50 we're pretty much all the same."

It's the first time in 19 years that Bez, Gary Whelan, Mark Day, Paul Davies, Paul Ryder, Rowetta and Shaun Ryder have all performed together, embarking on an 11 date UK tour in May including a massive show at Manchester Arena.

The band will be supported by another recently- reformed, legendary Madchester band - The Inspiral Carpets, which features Xfm's very own Clint Boon on keyboards.
