John Legend has proposed to his supermodel girlfriend.
The 32-year-old singer asked Sports Illustrated beauty Chrissy Teigen to be his wife in a romantic proposal in the Maldives last week.
The Green Light crooner’s representative confirmed the nuptial plans.
“John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives,” Cindy Berger told People magazine.
John and Chrissy have been dating for four years and have been having a fun time during the holidays travelling to exotic locations.
Chrissy, who is if Thai-Norweigen ancestry, posted on her Twitter page that she was enjoying a cooking class with John on Christmas Day in Thailand but bemoaned the fact that her beau was also spending a lot of time watching sports.
“John has managed to watch every sports game no matter the sport or internet restrictions in any country we’ve been in,” Chrissy wrote.
The Ordinary People singer will be heading to Las Vegas for the New Year’s Eve celebrations where he will be seeing in 2012 at The Pearl at the Palms.
