Speaking to The Sun Neil said, "I'm sitting on my yacht, contemplating my future, and I'm not sure it'll be with Motley Crue after Las Vegas. Great things are coming up and pushing me in another direction."

He also went on to add that he's been thinking about his future "and that future might not include Motley Crue after Vegas."

But in an interview with Rolling Stone two days ago bassist Nikki Sixx had a different view of it all.

Sixx told the magazine that the residency in Nevada "is the beginning of what will be the biggest probably four to five years of the band’s career," before mentioning discussions about a co-headlining tour "with a couple of other extremely huge bands."

"There's new music in the future," he added.

The hair metal band recently toured the UK with Def Leppard and Steel Panther.
