GWAR have canceled their European tour, saying in a statement ""Ticket sales were slow so promoters started pulling the plug on shows. Finally we had so many blow-outs that we had no choice but to cancel the whole thing.
We can't afford to pay to play Europe; after all, we aren't fucking tourists! But we are extremely disappointed this happened and very sorry for our fans over there, especially in light of recent events. I know everybody over there wanted to say goodbye to Flattus [Cory Smoot recently passed away] in a way that only a GWAR show could provide, and we were really looking forward to sharing that with you guys."
The contents of the house where Michael Jackson live when he passed away were sold last weekend at auction for almost $1 million. That is almost triple the estimate originally made by Julien's Auctions.
Some of the more unusual number included the rug under the bed where Jackson died which sold for $15,360 on an estimate of $400 to 600. The headboard for the bed was pulled from the auction by the family.
Also selling well were a chalkboard with a message from Jackson's children to him and a mirror where he had written a message to himself.

Warren Hellman, the San Francisco billionaire who founded the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, passed away on Sunday at the age of 77. He had been suffering from leukemia.
Hellman, who also played banjo, was well known in the area bluegrass community and was a member of the group the Wronglers. The festival has grown over the years to become an important yearly free gathering in the bay area with big names acts from many genres of music.
