After an acoustic performance at the Royal Albert Hall for The Prince's Trust Rock Gala concert to raise funds for disadvantaged young people Music-News.com managed to get an exclusive interview with Pete in his dressing room just below the main stage.

"I love Quadrophenia, its the only thing The Who had ever done that I had complete control of. I wrote it all myself I produced it all myself, and I'm so pleased with the way it all came out.

"I was also pleased at the time as it was recorded in '73 but it was about '64/'65. It was an effort to reconnect The Who, who were getting a bit lost in prog rock land and reconnect us with our mod routes.

"And I think it did that and it also created echoes for the mod movement.

"It makes you wonder why fashion and clothing and the gang is so important when you're young.
