The Jane's Addiction singer's been subject to a Brazilian backlash after derogatory comments in a Rolling Stone interview.

Perry Farrell claimed Brazillian music fans were "uneducated about music" after the Brazilian Lollapalooza site crashed and the personal information was published online by hackers.

Farrell hit out at those who blamed him - instead passing the buck to the local organisers and defending the pre-sale - putting it down to the lack of large scale music events there and people not being prepared.

He later told Rolling Stone Brazil that he thought he was working with "good people" and "They should know what they are doing. They sell tickets to football matches!"

He also explained he wasn't expecting such anger from fans after the article - who took to Twitter to vent their rage.
