Miles Kane has admitted to Absolute Radio’s Geoff Lloyd, ahead of an exclusive intimate gig for the national station, that he’d ‘love’ to win the Q Award for Breakthrough Artist that he’s been nominated for, at the prestigious event next month.

Most musicians say it’s not about the winning, but Miles revealed he desperately wants that trophy on his mantelpiece, although he says he wouldn’t prepare a speech, just in case, and that he’d chose to ‘freestyle,’ it or ‘rap,’ instead if he won.

Miles was also grilled about an eagerly anticipated reunion with Arctic Monkey’s frontman Alex Turner for their hugely successful side project ‘The Last Shadow Puppets,’ saying ‘it’s still on hold,’ but ‘when the time’s right, we’ll both ride that ship again.’
